There won't be any festival club by the Malta. This year, the festival club will be at the Old Market Square between the Arsenal building and Great Posnanian Army Museum. The covered construction of Pasaż Kultury will be the place of meetings with the artists and in the evenings it will be a musical club. During those 5 days at 23:00 the concerts of invited guests will start. We will listen to Ye Solar, Snowman, Zespół Reprezentacyjny, Thief and Irrepressible. After the concerts the djs will be the kings of the stage. However the neighbours don't have to be worry about loud music. Every club's guest will get the earphones and this way she/he will hear the music.

Like every year, in June in Poznań there is a huge holiday of contemporary theatre, MALTA International Theatre Festival. The audience will have a chance to see spectacles of few dozen theatrical groups from over the world, such like Kompania Doomsday, Teatr Ósmego Dnia (The Eight Day Theatre), Theater Tui from Germany. Jane's Addiction and Nine Inch Nails concerts will make attractive the performance.

This is the last MALTA edition in that type - said the director of festival, Michał Merczyński, during yesterday's press conference, which 19 edition starts 23^rd June 2009. He didn't want to go into details. - At the festival opening I will present the strategy for next three years. I may only say that since next year Malta Festival will be different - he said. Already this year novelties will appear on the MALTA f. ex. There will be no spectacles by the Malta Lake. - But it isn't a provocation - Merczyński calmed down - this year many construction works are conducted there. We will come back with new idea to Malta Lake next year - he explained. This year's novelty will be also ... festival's wine: white and red - every large international festival has its own wine. Now, also Poznań will have one - said Merczyński.

I can't wait to see Posnanian premiere of the Pippo Delbono "La Menzogna".(...) New spectacles will be performed by Polish artists: Lech Raczek with Asocjacja 2006, Małgorzata Dziewulska, Teatr Usta Usta, Republika and Porywacze Ciał. How it will go? We will see. If we add the projects for „Nowe Sytuacje"contest than the question marks will be more.

     - one of the chimneys in the centre of the city will be changed into minaret. This way the artist, Joanna Rajkowska, will open a debate on co-existing of three cultures and religious in Poznań: Christian, Jewish and Muslim.
